Boring Saturday???? Nah.......

On the 20th I did something id always wanted to do..... ride the cycle upto Marina beach early in the morn......and thanks to Nigel and his patience I really was able to achieve it.

At 5 in the morn i prayed that Nigel had somehow suffered from amnesia and forgotten abt me coming with him cycling, but my prayers seemed futile...for exactly at 5.15 i get a screeching.."""""wake up""""" on the other side of the phone. I clambered off my bunk bed and managed to make to to the gate in 30 mins. And then the journey began... For someone who gets up way after the sun has shown brigthly, cyling in the dark is very close to an adventure... having no mirrors to look into and dodge the charging headlights was crazy. Slowly as the dawn broke thru we reached the beach and it was beautiful. Joggers thronged the side paths as the sun unvieled akin to a curtain raiser.. It was simply beautiful.
I been a localite of the western coast have seen numerous sunsets dip into the arabian sea, but a sun rise was altogether a different experience. I felt content, for i had achieved one of my ever-existing aims- - - to do something very different from my otherwise boring schedule.....
I self patted my back and moved on the retun path, excitement oozing out of every syllable i muttered. Im sure Nigel must have cursed not having brought his mp3 along :) After 2 hours i finally reached back to the hostel and pulled my friends off their deep saturday slumber.... now im guessing ive already entered their "people to write off" list.
But all said and done, it was a truly worthwhile experience.
P.S. Having the worst ever body ache for 2 days after that, did make me blabber unthinkable names, but they say.... no pain. no gain.;
